The first workshop — “Ethics of belief: religious, scientific and everyday” — will be devoted to the problem of epistemic and ethical justification of religious belief. It touches the question of epistemological status of religious belief in the light of epistemological status of scientific and everyday beliefs: if both scientific and everyday beliefs enjoy only probabilistic character, then the question on ethics of religious belief must be raised also in probabilistic terms. And if all beliefs are probabilistic, how can we infer from scientific belief to scientific knowledge? The workshop will take place 25-26 September 2018 at RAS Institute of Philosophy, 12/1 Goncharnaya Str., Moscow, Russia (Room № 416). The list of participants:
