APPEAL IN SUPPORT FOR THE INSTITUTE OF PHILOSOPHY OF THE

RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES IN MOSCOW

News is just coming in that the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences will be expelled from the building that it occupies since 1929. Because the future of this renowned and unique Institute of Philosophy is bleak unless it can secure the base for its continuing work, we strongly express our support to our colleagues in Moscow and protest against any attempt to undermine the role of the Institute of Philosophy on the international philosophical stage.

We write in support of the continuation of the life of the Institute in the same place where it has always been located, thereby recognising its historic place in Russian and world philosophy.
