The Council of the Australasian Association of Philosophy

Dear Sirs

The Council of the Australasian Association of Philosophy is seriously concerned by information received, that the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow is to be expelled from premises at Volkhonka Street No. 14 which it has occupied for some 80 years, and that no alternative accommodation has been organised. This would be extremely damaging to the Institute.

The Australasian Association of Philosophy Council adds its voice in protest, and wishes to express its strong support of our philosophical colleagues in Moscow, and for the Institute itself, which, we stress, is regarded with the greatest respect in Australia, and throughout the world.

Yours truly,

I.T. (Tim) Oakley
