APPEAL FOR THE INSTITUTE OF PHILOSOPHY OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF
SCIENCES IN MOSCOW

The Philosophical Society of Finland strongly regrets the plans to relocate the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow from its historical building at Volkhonka Street № 14. We sincerely wish the Russian authorities will carefully reconsider these plans before taking any actions to remove the Institute of Philosophy from its impressive historical surroundings. The global philosophical community, including several generations of Finnish logicians and philosophers, has learned to identify the Institute with its home building at Volkhonka Street № 14, with its highly significant philosophical collections and other facilities.
